10 Hour headshot story - Making SIDDHANT JATIA'S headshot
Getting a headshot done is one thing but delivering a world class finished image under 10 hours is another.
Siddhant's call on the Monday, 4th May was pretty frantic. He was in need for an urgent headshot. He had to send out images by Thursday. Siddhant had done his ground work on me and had seen my work prior to his call. Interestingly Siddhant's best friend Arshdeep who works at Pedagoge had got his headshot done by me earlier this year.
The challenge was that neither me or Siddhant could work our schedules to accommodate his request on the first phone call. I had a few things lined up through the week and he had a packed schedule. There were hardly any time slots where both would be free for the next 3 days. We decided that if both of us worked along we will be able to make it happen!
With enough push and pull at our respective schedule we decided to shoot at 10am the very next morning. With the lights ready to go and the camera tethered up, Siddhanth showed up ready for the shoot. First look and it was evident that Siddhanth had done his bit of homework. He had read the headshot preparation guide and was well ready for his headshot session.
As the shoot progressed I got to know a little more about this 4th generation entrepreneur who had started to get into business right from his college days. Just a shade over 23 this young entrepreneur was all ready amping up the game by choosing to upgrade his image with a professional done headshot. With a bunch of interviews lined up in the near future he was preparing to put his best image out there.
Having done his headshot we got down to selecting the best image. The next challenge was making sure that I was able to do all the cleaning and retouching for his final image. This required me to reschedule a lot of my ongoing work and pause a few projects. All in all it took me about 10 hours to make this happen.
What is most satisfying is that Siddhanth was able to email his final image to the good folks at India Blooms. Check out his interview along with his upgraded image!
Here's wishing the best to Siddhanth and his new medical venture Qyura.
